Hey Everyone! Adam and I just got home from an amazing week in Birmingham Alabama. In the last 5 days we have sat in 21 one hour long sessions (no joke) talking only about church planting, so as you can imagine my brain is FULL! There are so many big things and little things that have to be done to make planting a church a reality. All of a sudden a year and a half does not seem like a lot of time! But its all good! I know that God is for us and if God is for us who can be against us, right!
In one of the last sessions Layne Schranz (a pastor at church of the Highlands) repeated a quote that I thought was so powerful and thought I would share it with you all. "The power is not in the sower, the power is in the seed."I love this quote! It is an amazing reminder that God does not use us because we are qualified (no one is) but he uses us because of our willingness. The power is not with us as the sowers but the power is with the seed we plant, the power is with Jesus. And I am convinced that If we (the sowers) can introduce the people of Oregon to the power of Jesus (the seed) their lives will never be the same! Hold on tight people, this is going to be one exciting ride! =)
